Nini at the park

Nini needed some new shots for her look book, so we headed to a local park. Nini her friend and I had a lot of fun shooting right at sunset.

Light Harvest

I hadn't done any fantasy manipulations in a while so when I had opportunity to work with Millia (she's really into costumes, I mean she's really into costumes), I decided it was time to do something a little creative.

Ivan (a photographer friend of mine) and I took Millia and her husband out to a local wilderness park (that's right...a wilderness park in the middle of suburban LA...miles of creek, oak trees, equestrian and bike trails). We brought along a couple of speedlites, a propane powered torch (I made it for a movie I was doing F/X on) and my magic "Orb" light.

As the sun started to go down, the frog and crickets came out. We stumble around with flashlights in the darkness under the trees. We started playing around with light and the environment. We all had fun for a while.

I knew that what I was capturing in the camera was only the beginning. Once I got the images in the computer, I started to see the rest of the image. a couple of hours later, this is was what came out.

Rachel and Richard - Trash the Dress

Rachel and Richard got back from their honeymoon and were anxious to "Trash the Dress". It was a beautiful evening at the beach. The water was warm and there was passion in the air. They are a wonderful couple and like I said before, just a lot of fun to work with. Here are just a few of the hundreds of incredible images we captured that afternoon.

Rachel and Richard's Wedding

Rachel and Richard...a beautiful and fun couple. It was a very warm day during the Labor Day weekend. I had a chance to work with Ana de Anda again (thank you). Both Rachel and Richard (and their wedding party) were incredible to work with. A very enjoyable day. We did get to shoot some at the L.A. Arboretum but there is never enough time at such a wonderful place. If I am lucky I'll get to do more some real exciting shots when they return from their honeymoon.

Stephanie's Quinceañera

I had the honor of being the second shooter at Stephanie's Quinceañera on Saturday August 29th. Thank you Ana De Anda for allowing me to work with you again. I was very grateful to be there and help record this wonderful event. Stephanie looked beautiful and everyone seemed to have a great time. Here's a couple of my favorite images.

My First Blog Entry

I'm sending this from my phone. I couldn't resist. The smoke cloud was
incredible but only lasted for a moment before it spread out.
Magnificent destruction.
